Privacy policy
In short: the Woof Watch app collects nothing. Sound is analysed on your device and never leaves it.
Who we are
Woof Watch and this website are run by x48 Paweł Utr, NIP 6922515980, ul. Olgi Boznańskiej 7, 59-300 Lubin, Poland. We are the controller for the little personal data described below. Contact: support@woofwat.ch.
The app
The app collects nothing. It has no account, no analytics and no advertising, and it does not send data to us or to anyone else.
Microphone and recordings
The microphone is used to record your phrases and to listen for barking. iOS asks for your permission first, and you can turn it off at any time in Settings. Barking is recognised on the device by Apple's built-in sound analysis. Audio is not stored, apart from the phrases you record, and never leaves the device.
Barking log and settings
The times of barking spells, your dog's name and your settings are stored only on the device. Deleting the app deletes them. You can also clear the log in Settings.
Purchases
Subscriptions are handled by Apple. We do not receive your payment details.
If you email us
We use your email address and message only to reply to you. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in answering your question (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)). We delete the conversation once it's resolved, or after two years at the latest.
This website
The site sets no cookies and loads no third-party trackers. Fonts are served from our own site.
The site is hosted by Cloudflare, Inc. (Cloudflare Pages). To deliver pages and keep the site secure, the host processes your IP address and basic request details in short-lived server logs. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in running a secure website (Art. 6(1)(f)).
Analytics
We use PostHog, hosted in the EU, to count visits and see which pages help people. It runs without cookies and keeps nothing on your device, so visits can't be linked across sessions or sites. PostHog does not store your IP address, and we don't create profiles of visitors. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in understanding how the site is used (Art. 6(1)(f)). You can block it with any content blocker.
Your rights
You can ask us for access to, correction of or deletion of any personal data we hold about you, or object to how we use it. Email support@woofwat.ch. You can also complain to the Polish data protection authority, the President of the Personal Data Protection Office (UODO, uodo.gov.pl).
Children
Woof Watch is not directed at children, and the app collects no data from anyone.
Changes
If this policy changes, we'll update this page and the date above.
